MOD owns 70% of a UK incorporated joint venture company, Metal Capital Limited, with AIM-listed Metal Tiger Plc owning 30%. Metal Capital’s wholly owned subsidiary, Tshukudu Metals Botswana (Pty) Ltd (Tshukudu) is the Botswana “in-country” operating company which owns the T3 copper/silver deposit – MOD’s flagship project.
‘Tshukudu’, meaning rhino in the Setswana language, was established in 2016 and manages all the daily on-site activities with specialist inputs from Australia. Tshukudu’s Board of Director’s meets on a regular basis and oversees in-country activities and compliance. Mr Gaba Chinyepi is the Executive Director and Country Manager of Tshukudu and liaises with MOD’s executive management team on a daily basis.
Together, MOD and Tshukudu operate as one company and strive to achieve the objectives of MOD Resources in its quest to become a major copper producer in Botswana.
Tshukudu has opened a Community Relations office in the nearby town of Ghanzi, which is the focal point for managing human resources and community relations in Ghanzi District.
